City Capsule Vending in Funabashi – Round 2

This city capsule project began as “Cheering up Cities with Capsule Toys! Promoting the city while pouring hometown love into capsules.”
Round 1 went on sale on October 1st, 2021, and as soon as it did, it became a hot topic on social media and was featured in many media outlets. With round 1 a roaring success, round 2 went on sale in March 2022. Round 2 also used a Funabashi-connected illustrator to create key-holder designs that featured items and places familiar to residents of Funabashi City. These included items like Funabashi Beer and the Kyodo Shiryokan (Historical Museum), among others.
The capsule containers used are our environmentally friendly AM Bio Capsule® biodegradable resin capsules, and are for sale with our cashless compatible “Beep Beep capsule vending machines.”
